WEAL is a cross-border cooperation project that combines health, wellness and green infrastructure with the aim of fostering the physical and mental well-being of rural and urban populations. Therefore, the primary objective is to enhance the LAG’s rural territory through the identification, analysis and promotion of green infrastructure and performance management systems (PES) and activation of nature-based health, wellness and social inclusion services (Green Care).
We organised three workshops (one for each Lag involved) that gave us the chance to introduce the project, the opportunities it represents for the area and receive feedback from the actors involved. This was made possible through an initial training part on new opportunities in natural resource management such as Green Care and Payments for Ecosystem Services. Then these issues were dealt with pragmatically through moments of active participation aimed at gathering feedback and ideas.
The workshops paved the way for an empowering journey with local stakeholders starting in the next months.
Here are three videos summarising the workshops, one for the Lag Garda e Colli Mantovani, one for the Lag Risorsa Lomellina, and one for the Lag Terre del Po.
